BLAKE SHELTON will host a special concert at the Grand Ole Opry January 9 to benefit the TROY GENTRY Foundation. EDDIE MONTGOMERY, RASCAL FLATTS, JON PARDI, CRAIG MORGAN and others will perform.

BRAD PAISLEY and wife Kim plan to open a free grocery store in Nashville. Called The Store, the facility will offer fresh and perishable foods to those in need who are referred by a non-profit organizations or government agencies. The store will also offer an aisle of toys during Christmas as well as job training. Construction is expected to begin in 2019.

BRETT ELDREDGE is set to release Glow Deluxe on October 26.

BLAKE SHELTON is bringing his Ole Red bar and restaurant to Orlando. It’s scheduled to open in the spring of 2020.

BRETT YOUNG’s 13-track sophomore album, Ticket To L.A., is scheduled for release on December 7.

REBA MCENTIRE will return as host of CMA Country Christmas in 2018. Artists already scheduled to perform include MARTINA MCBRIDE, DUSTIN LYNCH, BRETT ELDREDGE and BRETT YOUNG.

You can now start referring to BRETT YOUNG as “country singer slash model.”  He’s the new face of Justin Timberlake’s clothing line, which is called William Rast.  Brett models the fall campaign of the men’s collection.

BRAD PAISLEY and CARRIE UNDERWOOD will return to cohost the Country Music Association Awards for the 11 straight year. The show will air November 14 on ABC from Nashville.

BRETT YOUNG says he’s taking a hands off approach to his upcoming wedding to Taylor Mills. He says those details are all up to her. He’ll just keep doing the honey-do list and let her handle the rest.


COLE SWINDELL has partnered with SUGARLAND’s distilling company for Cole Swindell’s Peppermint Moonshine, which will be out this month.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD says some have congratulated her on the twins, to which she says, “I ain’t having no twins. As far as I know, there’s only one in there.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD says while she and hubby Mike Fisher know the sex of their baby, they’re keeping it under wraps for now. You may recall that when Carrie was expecting her first baby, BRAD PAISLEY revealed it would be a boy during the 2014 Country Music Association Awards. Could it happen again this year?

CARRIE UNDERWOOD is headed to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. She’ll be inducted during a ceremony in Tulsa, November 15.


DUSTIN LYNCH is the latest country music singer to become a member of The Grand Ole Opry.

DEVIN DAWSON (All On Me) headlines his first tour this fall. The Stray Off Course Tour begins November 1 in Columbia, South Carolina and runs through December 15.


ERIC CHURCH will hit the road on the Double Down Tour January 18 in Omaha, Nebraska. He’ll play 37 shows through late May including stops in St. Louis, Los Angeles and Nashville.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE has a 16th number one this week with ‘Simple’. The tune is the lead single from their upcoming fourth studio album.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s Tyler Hubbard and wife Hayley have a mealtime rule — no cell phones at the table. Tyler says by instituting that rule, it gives them a chance to be present in the moment and have at least some quality time together each day no matter what else may be going on.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s Brian Kelley is selling the home where he married Brittney Cole. The couple have put their 70-acre compound on the market for $6.24 million. It includes three homes, a party barn, a saloon and a recording studio.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s Tyler Hubbard says (to Billboard) that the duo’s fourth studio album is expected to be out in early 2019.


GARTH BROOKS will offer Notre Dame students the chance to sit in on his soundcheck and a Q&A session the night before his concert at the school’s football stadium. The October 19 event will also include TRISHA YEARWOOD.

GARTH BROOKS will release The Anthology – Part 3: Triple Live on November 20. The set will include his Triple Live album plus two additional discs and a book that chronicles his days playing at Willie’s Saloon in Stillwater, Oklahoma to his concerts in New York’s Central Park and Croke Park in Ireland.

GARTH BROOKS’ October 20 concert at the University of Notre Dame football stadium sold 84,000 tickets in under two hours.

GEORGE STRAIT’s San Antonio home is up for sale. The almost 8,000 square foot home is on 12.2 acres and has three bedrooms — each with its own fireplace — six and a half bathrooms, sports courts, a gourmet kitchen, an outdoor kitchen, a pool, a sauna, a guest house and more.

GEORGE STRAIT will close the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with a performance March 17.  It will be his 30th appearance at “The Greatest Show on Dirt.”  *The Houston rodeo is credited with giving Strait his “big break” when he had the chance to fill in for an ailing Eddie Rabbit.  The exposure to a crowed of almost 70,000 people put his career in overdrive.


JASON ALDEAN will play in a softball game between the Spring Hill, Tennessee, police and fire departments to raise funds for the families of two first responders killed in the line of duty. The game is October 27.

USA Network’s Real Country singing competition will debut November 13. JAKE OWEN, SHANIA TWAIN and TRAVIS TRITT will judge with TRACE ADKINS, WYNONNA, BIG & RICH and WILLIE NELSON serving as special guests. Each episode of the show will include a different special guest with more to be revealed soon.

JASON ALDEAN’s 8,900 square foot home in Columbia, Tennessee, is on the market for just under $8 million. The home has 6 bedrooms, 8½ bathrooms, a horse stable, bowling alley and more. Jason bought the home in January of 2016.

JASON ALDEAN is looking forward to having his youngest child, Memphis, out on the road with him. Back when is daughters were born, when he was touring he was on one bus with his whole band — 12 on the bus. Jason said that baby-proofing his tour bus has been “new territory,” but they’re slowly getting there.


KIP MOORE will release a seven song EP on November 16: Room To Spare: The Acoustic Sessions. He will also embark on a four city tour to support the project.

KANE BROWN married his longtime girlfriend Katelyn Jae in a ceremony outside of Nashville on Friday evening.

KEITH URBAN will compete for both Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Country Performer at the 2018 People’s Choice Awards, airing November 11 on E! Voting is underway at E! Online now. Keith will compete against Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes and Drake. In the Favorite Country Performer category, Keith is up against BLAKE SHELTON, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, LUKE BRYAN and THOMAS RHETT.

KELSEA BALLERINI will release a deluxe edition of her album Unapologetically on October 26. It’ll include four new songs: Fun and Games; I Think I Fell In Love Today; a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide; and her collaboration with The Chainsmokers, This Feeling.

KEITH URBAN’s got three more albums now available on vinyl. Graffiti U, Be Here, and Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing can be purchased in that format, joining Golden Road, Fuse and Get Closer.

KANE BROWN has revealed his sophomore album will be released November 9.

KANE BROWN says the idea for his latest, Heaven, came from missing his fiancée, Katelyn Jae, while he was touring. He says to him, Heaven is simply spending time with Katelyn and their dogs at home and maybe paying a visit to their favorite Mexican restaurant in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville.

KEITH URBAN owns more than 100 guitars. Actually, he’s not even sure of the exact number but says he tends to get a lot of them from eBay.

KELSEA BALLERINI posted a photo of her favorite “travel tools” that she takes on the road.  She captioned it, “My picks for staying healthy, feeling trendy, and capturing it all on a trip.  Not an ad, just sharing.”  We noticed sunglasses, a camera, a passport, Smart Water, and green tea.

MITCHELL TENPENNY will be among those performing November 19 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in the Christmas 4 Kids concert. The event raises money so that underprivileged children in Middle Tennessee can go Christmas shopping.

MORGAN EVANS will make his early morning television debut October 18 on NBC’s Today Show.

Miranda Lambert’s partnership with Boot Barn, Idyllwind Fueled By Miranda Lambert (CAT 11/14), is now available nationwide. The collection includes apparel, accessories and cowboy boots.

MIRANDA LAMBERT has added two four-legged friends to her family. The two cats named Mac and Cheese bring her total number of animals to 19.

MIRANDA LAMBERT says despite her love life being a roller coaster ride, she wouldn’t trade the ups and downs for anything. Miranda says the down times have given her a lot of material for songs and the good times have allowed for some amazing memories.

MAREN MORRIS says the best advice she was ever given was to wear underwear at all times.

MAREN MORRIS and husband RYAN HURD have kids in their future. Maren says she’s blocked out a section of 2019 on her calendar.

MAREN MORRIS will perform as part of an all female festival in Riviera Maya, Mexico early next year. The festival will be called the Girls Just Wanna Weekend and will run from January 30-February 3. Others who will perform include the Indigo Girls, Carlile, Patty Griffin and MARGO PRICE.

Don’t look for MIRANDA LAMBERT to share details of her personal life on social media. She feels her music is the one and only time and place for her to do that and isn’t a fan of using social media or other means to express personal feelings.


OLD DOMINION will perform their new single, Make It Sweet, a week from today (October 16) on Ellen.


RUSSELL DICKERSON is learning by example when it comes to the music business. Despite a degree from Nashville’s Belmont University, he’s watched friends THOMAS RHETT and FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE to get an idea of how to handle elements of his career, from daily schedules to song writing to performing.

RUSSELL DICKERSON says the most country thing he’s ever done, he said, “Probably pop a beer bottle open with a shotgun shell.”


SCOTTY MCCREERY will embark on his Seasons Change Tour November 29 in Dallas. The tour will make 13 stops this winter with openers JIMMY ALLEN and HEATHER MORGAN.


TOBY KEITH’s 1993 self-titled album will be re-issued on November 30 as Should’ve Been A Cowboy with three rare tracks added and a new cover. The re-issue coincides with the 25th anniversary of Toby’s breakthrough hit.

TIM MCGRAW is currently focused on Tim McGraw the country singer, but that doesn’t mean he’s done being Tim McGraw the movie actor. Tim says, “There are some things kicking around. It’s just finding time … more after the first of the year, some stuff coming up.”

THOMAS RHETT tells People his daughter, Willa, may have been adopted from Uganda, but she fits in so naturally with the family that it feels like she’s always been their daughter. Thomas says Willa gets excited when he plays his guitar and is very close with her younger sister, Ada.

KRYSTAL KEITH is expecting her second child with husband, Andrew Sandubrae. The couple have a daughter, Hensley, born in 2015. The baby will be TOBY KEITH’s fourth grandchild.

THOMAS RHETT’s latest is called Life Changes and he expects to be singing about even more life changes in the next five years or so. Thomas expects to see his family of four grow considerably because his wife, Lauren, wants five kids.

TYLER FARR has partnered with boot brand Durango to be a 2018 Durango Boot Country Music Ambassador. Tyler will release Livin’ Hard — a special five-song EP presented by Durango and available to Durango boot purchasers.


Zac Brown and his wife recently separated.

The ZAC BROWN BAND will be part of a Mickey Mouse 90th birthday celebration, airing November 4 on ABC.
