The American Idol season finale is set for Sunday and Monday (May 20-21) and will find all three judges — LUKE BRYAN, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry — performing. Other guest performers will include DARIUS RUCKER, BEBE REXHA, Gary Clark Jr. and Patti LaBelle.

BLAKE SHELTON’s Ole Red restaurant and bar will celebrate its grand opening June 6-10 in downtown Nashville. The 26,000 square foot venue includes a rooftop bar, VIP booths for small groups, performance area and more. This is the second branch of Ole Red to open with a third slated for Gatlinburg, Tennessee next year.

BROTHERS OSBORNE, who have found great popularity in the United Kingdom, have announced plans to return for a second headlining tour this November and December. The duo’s currently-schedule dates overseas have sold out at a rapid pace.

BRAD PAISLEY will serve as one of the judges on a rotating panel for the new season of ABC’s The Gong Show, which will debut June 21.

BLAKE SHELTON will return to the Grand Ole Opry June 7 to headline a special Thursday Night Opry show in honor of CMA Fest. Others on the schedule for the two shows that night include THE OAK RIDGE BOYS, CHARLEY PRIDE, JOSH TURNER, LUKE COMBS and MAGGIE ROSE.

BRETT ELDREDGE has established the Brett Eldredge Family Foundation and made the first donation to Monroe Carell Jr. Pediatric Center for Cancer Research in Nashville. The $60,000 donation comes from An Evening With Brett Eldredge held last fall where Brett performed tunes from his holiday album, Glow

BLAKE SHELTON will open a third location of his Ole Red Restaurant and Bar, this one in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The 16,000 foot, two story establishment will open in the spring of 2019. Blake’s Nashville location will open next month while his Tishamingo, Oklahoma Ole Red has been operating since last fall.

BRETT YOUNG became a household name in 2017, but not before making a life-changing decision that almost led him to The Voice. Brett says that one month before he signed a record deal (with Big Machine Label Group) he received a call from a representative at The Voice setting him up for the ideal scenario: he didn’t even need to audition, he could head straight to TV for the blind auditions. After going through the necessary steps to be on the show, he paid a frantic call to his manager, which changed the course of his rise to stardom. Brett explains: “Two days before I’m supposed to fly to L.A. and start this show, I called Enzo and said, “Hey bud, I’m freaking out. Can we have drinks? … He said, ‘I don’t think you should go.’ I said, ‘Hold on,’ and I walked outside and I called [the Voice production team] and let ‘em know I couldn’t make it. … That was the scariest piece of advice I ever got.”


CARRIE UNDERWOOD is headed to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. She’ll be inducted during a ceremony in Tulsa, November 15.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD and Mike Fisher are looking to re-locate from their custom built Nashville area home after Carrie’s freak accident last November. People reports Carrie and Mike are not looking at leaving the Nashville area, but the magazine reports a change of scenery is in order. A source claims they are “completely done” with the neighborhood.

CHASE RICE loves his pizza. So he’s not a very happy camper right now because his doctor told him to refrain from pizza after surgery Tuesday. Chase tore his pec shooting a video for Eyes On You.

CHRIS YOUNG’s German Shephard, Porter, is following in the footsteps of BRETT ELDREDGE’s dog, Edgar, and has his own Instagram account.

CHRIS STAPLETON has scored more heavy metal as his album From A Room: Volume 1 has been certified platinum while his album From A Room: Volume 2 achieves gold status. Each of his albums have achieved certification since the 2015 release of his debut, Traveler, which has sold more than 3 million copies.

According to “People”, CASSADEE POPE is dating actor SAM PALLADIO. You may know him for playing Gunnar Scott on “Nashville”.  They’ve been spotted around Music City.

CASSADEE POPE said she tried the dating app Raya and found “some hilarious people on there.”  And then she got tired of it.

CHASE BRYANT posted a long message on Instagram about how he let his ego get the best of him after his first couple of hits.  He vowed to be more honest with himself in the future and is proud of the new music he’s been recording.  He closed by reintroducing himself and thanking his fans for hanging in.

CHRIS STAPLETON may have a few songs in some movies and some cool collaborations on the horizon, but don’t expect a new full-length album anytime soon. Chris says he plans to tour off the two volumes of his From A Room album, which have plenty of life in them.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD has announced her big return to the stage following her fall in November that left her with a broken wrist and 40 to 50 stitches in her face. Carrie will be making her return to the stage for the first time since her injury at CMA Fest in June.

COLE SWINDELL took a few heart-stopping laps with Ryan Blaney in his #12 car recently at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.  They were promoting Cole’s upcoming show at the Monster Energy All-Star Race on May 19th.


DAN + SHAY will release their third album, the self-titled Dan + Shay, on June 22. The project includes guest vocals by KELLY CLARKSON on a song titled Keeping Score.

DIERKS BENTLEY and the members of LANCO spent Monday (May 14) packing more than 10,000 pounds of food for Nashville’s Second Harvest Food Bank’s Hunger Free Summer program. That food will provide more than 8,500 meals to those in need while school is out of session.

DUSTIN LYNCH says at age 33 , he’s longing to find that perfect lady to settle down with. In fact, his new single, Good Girl, was drawn from that idea of finding his own Good Girl.

The inspiration for ERIC PASLAY’s new song “Young Forever” came from Kelsea Ballerini’s husband Morgan Evans.  Eric says, quote, “I think they had just gotten engaged, so he was like, ‘We’re gonna live forever and be in love forever’ . . . and just good vibes.  This song is about being ‘young’ in every experience.”


FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s hinting that an FGL Boat House could be in the works in Florida. On their Instagram the duo posed the question: Anyone think there needs to be an FGL Boat House in Florida? The post also includes several images that would indicate FGL Boat House is in the works, including a building with large outdoor pool, cowboy hat, beer mugs and more. The duo’s FGL House in Nashville opened last June

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE will headline FGL Fest, September 8 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The event will be the 25th anniversary of the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race. More acts will be revealed to perform in the coming weeks.


GEORGE STRAIT will close the 2019 Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo with a performance March 17.  It will be his 30th appearance at “The Greatest Show on Dirt.”  *The Houston rodeo is credited with giving Strait his ‘big break” when he has the chance to fill in for an ailing Eddie Rabbit.  The exposure to a crowed of almost 70,000 people put his career in overdrive.

GARTH BROOKS has been in the studio working on his next album . . . and he’s already recorded two songs.


HIGH VALLEY will hit the road with OLD DOMINION this fall.


JAKE OWEN had to cancel the first two shows on his Life’s Whacha Make It Tour. The tour will now begin June 1 in Maryland. Jake promises to return to the venues impacted and that tickets for the initial concerts will be honored.

JASON ALDEAN has joined the lineup of nightly performers at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium during the CMA Music Festival. Jason will close the show Thursday night, June 7.

JASON ALDEAN’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar will open in downtown Nashville in early June. The 27,000 square foot venue will include four floors with music on each, live entertainment, 250 seat dinner capacity, large video screens, a Southern style menu, and a gift shop.

JASON ALDEAN says his daughters, 15-year-old Keeley and 10-year-old Kendyl, are good helpers with their baby brother, Memphis, born last December. Jason says especially Kendyl, who always offers to help with feeding and changing duties.

JASON ALDEAN says it’s nice to have a lot of stuff, but it doesn’t change who he is or where he’s from.  Quote, “It doesn’t matter how many cars you drive.  It’s all nice stuff to have, but underneath it all, you are who you are, and you’re from where you’re from.

JON PARDI says he chose to record his latest, She Ain’t In It, because it’s not like many of his other songs that have a more toe-tapping style. Instead, the song is more one to make people stop and think, and that’s what he likes about it most.

According to Nashville Business Journal, a restaurant concept named JASON ALDEAN’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar is in the works for the downtown area. If this reported plan goes through, Jason would join a number of country artists with Nashville eating and drinking establishments, including DIERKS BENTLEY, BLAKE SHELTON, JOHN RICH, ALAN JACKSON and FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE.

JASON ALDEAN is looking forward to having his youngest child, Memphis, out on the road with him. Back when is daughters were born, when he was touring he was on one bus with his whole band — 12 on the bus. Jason said that baby-proofing his tour bus has been “new territory,” but they’re slowly getting there.

JASON ALDEAN announced that he’s doing a special show in Atlanta on July 21st.  Although it’s part of his High Noon Neon Tour, it also features the full lineup of HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH . . . with DARIUS RUCKER.


KELSEA BALLERINI admits to being star struck around famous people. Kelsea says while her interactions typically turn out for the good, she isn’t one to just approach a musical hero or celebrity of any kind.

KANE BROWN says the idea for his latest, Heaven, came from missing his fiancée, Katelyn Jae, while he was touring. He says to him, Heaven is simply spending time with Katelyn and their dogs at home and maybe paying a visit to their favorite Mexican restaurant in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville.

KEITH URBAN’s album Graffit U debuted at No. 1 on the Country Albums Chart.

KELSEA BALLERINI is the only country artist on the bill for Good Morning America’s Summer Concert series this year. She’ll perform August 3.

KEITH URBAN talked his wife NICOLE KIDMAN into singing backup on a song called “Parallel Line”.  It’s on his new album “Graffiti U”, which is out now.

KENNY CHESNEY has a new song out on called “Get Along”, and the title’s not subtle.  Here’s how he describes it.  Quote, “Some days it’s like the world is just angry, screaming people, all harping on what’s wrong, how other people are awful.

KELSEA BALLERINI posted a photo of her favorite “travel tools” that she takes on the road.  She captioned it, “My picks for staying healthy, feeling trendy, and capturing it all on a trip.  Not an ad, just sharing.”  We noticed sunglasses, a camera, a passport, Smart Water, and green tea.

LOCASH’s song Don’t Get Better Than That has been selected by ESPN as the theme for the network’s coverage of NCAA Men’s College Baseball coverage this summer.

LADY ANTEBELLUM will perform June 25 at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Colorado. The show comes less than a month before the launch of their Summer Plays On Tour with DARIUS RUCKER and RUSSELL DICKERSON, which begins July 19 in Toronto.

LUKE BRYAN’s 5th Annual Crash My Playa is set for January 23-26 in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Luke will headline two nights of concerts with special guests to be revealed in the coming weeks. Tickets go on sale May 23.

With the success of her Fill The Little Red Wagon campaign on her Livin’ Like Hippies Tour, MIRANDA LAMBERT will roll out the campaign again this summer on her tour with LITTLE BIG TOWN. Filling the Little Red Wagon consists of fans bringing food and pet supplies or cash donations to Miranda’s Mutt Nation Foundation at each stop on the tour.

RASCAL FLATTS will go with Boise, Idaho as the next location for a Rascal Flatts restaurant. The trio, who recently opened a location in Connecticut, have also requested permits in St. Louis, Orlando, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.

Turns out TIM MCGRAW’s grueling workouts are one of the reasons he collapsed on stage in Ireland.  Now, at the insistence of his wife Faith Hill, He said, quote, “I’ll have to cut short my workouts.”
