BRETT YOUNG’s Mercy spends a second week at the top of the charts (Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase). The tune is the fourth and final single from Brett’s self-titled debut album. His next single, Here Tonight, will be released next month and will be the first taste of his sophomore album.

BRETT ELDREDGE will team with Meghan Trainor for the next installment of CMT Crossroads, airing in September. The two will swap vocals on each other’s tunes and cover the KENNY ROGERS and DOLLY PARTON classic Islands In The Stream.

BROTHERS OSBORNE will do more than 20 headlining shows starting August 26 in Charlottesville, Virginia. The duo will visit cities and provinces in both the United States and Canada on the trek.

BRAD PAISLEY and CARRIE UNDERWOOD will return to cohost the Country Music Association Awards for the 11 straight year. The show will air November 14 on ABC from Nashville.

BROTHERS OSBORNE just bought their mom a house. Brothers John and TJ Osborne bought their mom Trish a house in Nashville, fulfilling a longtime dream of hers (and theirs) for her to be closer to Music City and to her sons.

BRETT YOUNG’s wedding to Taylor Mills will happen toward the end of 2018 and he’s nervous about one important part of the ceremony: singing for the big day. Brett says he doesn’t want to dip into his own catalog unless he writes something new between now and then, so he’s not sure what song he might sing to his bride.

BLAKE SHELTON and KELLY CLARKSON will return as coaches for season 15 of NBC’s The Voice. They will be joined by Adam Levine and Jennifer Hudson. Premiere date: September 23rd.

BRETT YOUNG says he’s taking a hands off approach to his upcoming wedding to Taylor Mills. He says those details are all up to her. He’ll just keep doing the honey-do list and let her handle the rest.

BROTHERS OSBORNE, who have found great popularity in the United Kingdom, have announced plans to return for a second headlining tour this November and December. The duo’s currently-schedule dates overseas have sold out at a rapid pace.

BLAKE SHELTON will open a third location of his Ole Red Restaurant and Bar, this one in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The 16,000 foot, two story establishment will open in the spring of 2019.

CHRIS LANE will headline the Laps Around The Sun Tour this fall. The 21 dates begin October 12 in Florida.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD says songs on her upcoming album, Cry Pretty, were heavily influenced by her own life as a mother and wife. Cry Pretty marks the first time Carrie has co-produced her own music. It hits stores September 14.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD tells Redbook she didn’t have plastic surgery after falling and injuring her face in 2017 — wishes she had. Carrie received 40-50 stitches in her face after she suffered a fall at her home in Nashville last November.

BRAD PAISLEY and CARRIE UNDERWOOD will return to cohost the Country Music Association Awards for the 11th straight year. The show will air November 14 on ABC from Nashville.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD makes her return to NBC’s Sunday Night Football in September. The first game with Carrie providing the opening music with her Oh, Sunday Night anthem is set for Thursday, September 6 when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Atlanta Falcons. The first actual Sunday night game is September 9 with the Chicago Bears taking on the Green Bay Packers.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD will celebrate the release of her new album, Cry Pretty, September 14 with a performance on NBC’s The Today Show, live from Rockefeller Plaza.

COLE SWINDELL will hit the road this fall on the Reason To Drink…Another Tour with openers DUSTIN LYNCH and LAUREN ALAINA. Dates begin October 4 in Alabama.

CHRIS YOUNG has added more dates to his Losing Sleep Tour with openers to be KANE BROWN and MORGAN EVANS for those shows.

CHRIS STAPLETON and wife Morgane are hoping to give back to the community by introducing a charitable organization designed to benefit a number of worthy endeavors. Some of those organizations include the March of Dimes, Musicares Foundation, City of Hope, Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, VetsAid and more.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD is headed to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. She’ll be inducted during a ceremony in Tulsa, November 15.

CHRIS YOUNG’s German Shephard, Porter, is following in the footsteps of BRETT ELDREDGE’s dog, Edgar, and has his own Instagram account.

CHRIS LANE has earned his third consecutive gold single with Take Back Home Girl. It’s the lead single from Chris’ upcoming sophomore album.

CHRIS STAPLETON has scored more heavy metal as his album From A Room: Volume 1 has been certified platinum while his album From A Room: Volume 2 achieves gold status. Each of his albums have achieved certification since the 2015 release of his debut, Traveler, which has sold more than 3 million copies.

According to “People”, CASSADEE POPE is dating actor SAM PALLADIO. You may know him for playing Gunnar Scott on “Nashville”.  They’ve been spotted around Music City.

CHRIS STAPLETON may have a few songs in some movies and some cool collaborations on the horizon, but don’t expect a new full-length album anytime soon. Chris says he plans to tour off the two volumes of his From A Room album, which have plenty of life in them.

DAN + SHAY’s Tequila has been certified platinum for sales of one million copies.

LUKE BRYAN, DAN + SHAY and SUGARLAND will reveal several of the nominees for this year’s Country Music Association Awards August 28 on ABC’s Good Morning America. The remaining nominees will be revealed following the show.

DEVIN DAWSON (All On Me) is opening shows for TIM MCGRAW and FAITH HILL’s Soul 2 Soul Tour and doesn’t take that position lightly. Devin, who opened a couple shows for the couple last year, says this year he’s stepping things up a bit with a full band and longer set. Devin knows it’s his job to get the fans ready for Tim and Faith and he wants to do his best to make that happen.

DUSTIN LYNCH says at age 33, he’s longing to find that perfect lady to settle down with. In fact, his new single, Good Girl, was drawn from that idea of finding his own Good Girl.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE collaborated with JASON ALDEAN for a song on their next album.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s Brian Kelley is selling the home where he married Brittney Cole. The couple have put their 70-acre compound on the market for $6.24 million. It includes three homes, a party barn, a saloon and a recording studio. Pete Nelson from Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters built the 500-square-foot treehouse recording studio in 2014. It’s connected to the main home by a 30-foot bridge… Two single family homes (3,981 square feet and 2,665 square feet) surround “the shack,” or the main home. The shack is a 1,500-square-foot space with one bedroom and one bathroom. It’s all tucked into the side of a mountain just 25 minutes from downtown Nashville.

FRANKIE BALLARD has scored a key to the city of his hometown of Battle Creek, Michigan.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE was recently presented with Billboard’s inaugural Trailblazer Award for their forward thinking in business and chart success.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s Tyler Hubbard says (to Billboard) that the duo’s fourth studio album is expected to be out in early 2019.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s song Meant to Be has surpassed 1 billion audio and video streams worldwide.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s hinting that an FGL Boat House could be in the works in Florida. On their Instagram the duo posed the question: Anyone think there needs to be an FGL Boat House in Florida? The post also includes several images that would indicate FGL Boat House is in the works, including a building with large outdoor pool, cowboy hat, beer mugs and more. The duo’s FGL House in Nashville opened last June

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE will headline FGL Fest, September 8 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The event will be the 25th anniversary of the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race. More acts will be revealed to perform in the coming weeks.

GARTH BROOKS has spent the last six months in the studio putting together a live album. The album will consist of performances from 391 shows on his recent world tour.

GARTH BROOKS will play the first-ever concert at Notre Dame Stadium. At a press conference in Nashville, Garth was joined by former head football coach Lou Holtz. The date has yet to be announced.

GEORGE STRAIT’s San Antonio home is up for sale. The almost 8,000 square foot home is on 12.2 acres and has three bedrooms — each with its own fireplace — six and a half bathrooms, sports courts, a gourmet kitchen, an outdoor kitchen, a pool, a sauna, a guest house and more.

GEORGE STRAIT will close the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with a performance March 17.  It will be his 30th appearance at “The Greatest Show on Dirt.”  *The Houston rodeo is credited with giving Strait his “big break” when he had the chance to fill in for an ailing Eddie Rabbit.  The exposure to a crowed of almost 70,000 people put his career in overdrive.

USA Network’s Real Country singing competition will debut November 13. JAKE OWEN, SHANIA TWAIN and TRAVIS TRITT will judge with TRACE ADKINS, WYNONNA, BIG & RICH and WILLIE NELSON serving as special guests. Each episode of the show will include a different special guest with more to be revealed soon.

JASON ALDEAN’s chart topper You Make It Easy is the first country single in 2018 to achieve platinum status while his album Rearview Town is the first country album to achieve gold status.

JASON ALDEAN and his wife Brittany are having a girl. The couple shared a gender reveal video on social media. In the video, one of Jason’s daughters from his first marriage nails a softball which explodes with pink powder.

JOHN RICH’s Redneck Riviera BBQ Jerky will be sold at Tractor Supply Company stores through September. A portion of proceeds will benefit Folds of Honor, an organization that provides education and scholarships to spouses and families of the U.S. military.

JASON ALDEAN’s 8,900 square foot home in Columbia, Tennessee, is on the market for just under $8 million. The home has 6 bedrooms, 8½ bathrooms, a horse stable, bowling alley and more. Jason bought the home in January of 2016.

JUSTIN MOORE says his next album will have a more traditional sound.

JASON and BRITTANY ALDEAN are expecting their second child together.  They posted a photo of their son Memphis wearing a onesie with the words “Big Brother” written on the front.

Two country albums are among the Top 10 best sellers so far in 2018. JASON ALDEAN’s Rearview Town is No. 3 (328,000 copies sold in the first half of the year) and KEITH URBAN’s Graffiti U comes in at No. 10 (just under 200,000 copies sold).

JASON ALDEAN says it’s nice to have a lot of stuff, but it doesn’t change who he is or where he’s from.  Quote, “It doesn’t matter how many cars you drive.  It’s all nice stuff to have, but underneath it all, you are who you are, and you’re from where you’re from.

According to Nashville Business Journal, a restaurant concept named JASON ALDEAN’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar is in the works for the downtown area. If this reported plan goes through, Jason would join a number of country artists with Nashville eating and drinking establishments, including DIERKS BENTLEY, BLAKE SHELTON, JOHN RICH, ALAN JACKSON and FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE.

JASON ALDEAN is looking forward to having his youngest child, Memphis, out on the road with him. Back when is daughters were born, when he was touring he was on one bus with his whole band — 12 on the bus. Jason said that baby-proofing his tour bus has been “new territory,” but they’re slowly getting there.

KEITH URBAN’s got three more albums now available on vinyl. Graffiti U, Be Here, and Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing can be purchased in that format, joining Golden Road, Fuse and Get Closer.

Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett will appear on “The Voice” this fall!

KEITH URBAN has been open about his past battle with addiction, and during an interview with an Australian TV show (Today Extra) Keith offered up advice to pop singer Demi Lovato, who was hospitalized after a reported overdose last week. Keith said, “I don’t know anything about her personally,” but she should keep “good people around her, and [have] a willingness to want to live a different way if that’s what she wants to do. It’s all up to her.”

KENNY CHESNEY is the only country artist to make Pollstar’s Top 10 list of top grossing tours for the first half of 2018, coming in at No. 8. Kenny’s tour has brought in $62.1 million at 25 shows. The top earner for the first half of the year is Ed Sheeran.

KIP MOORE has partnered with a friend to create Bedrock At the Red in Rogers, Kentucky. The lodge area is equipped for hiking and rock climbing as well as weddings and private events.

KIP MOORE has been writing new music and says he could wind up putting together as many as three different projects. Kip says his musical influences have a wide range and how he decides to disperse the new material will determine just how many projects fans can expect in the months ahead.

Graffiti U-Keith Urban’s 2018 tour is now underway. The tour will make more than 50 stops across the U.S. and Canada with Kelsea Ballerini opening up. Keith says the tour will have a U-shaped stage, allowing everyone in the house a better view. He also promises to collaborate with Kelsea each night.

KANE BROWN has revealed his sophomore album will be released November 9.

KELSEA BALLERINI admits to being star struck around famous people. Kelsea says while her interactions typically turn out for the good, she isn’t one to just approach a musical hero or celebrity of any kind.

KANE BROWN says the idea for his latest, Heaven, came from missing his fiancée, Katelyn Jae, while he was touring. He says to him, Heaven is simply spending time with Katelyn and their dogs at home and maybe paying a visit to their favorite Mexican restaurant in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville.

KEITH URBAN owns more than 100 guitars. Actually, he’s not even sure of the exact number but says he tends to get a lot of them from eBay.

KELSEA BALLERINI posted a photo of her favorite “travel tools” that she takes on the road.  She captioned it, “My picks for staying healthy, feeling trendy, and capturing it all on a trip.  Not an ad, just sharing.”  We noticed sunglasses, a camera, a passport, Smart Water, and green tea.

LUKE BRYAN tops Forbes’ list of the top earning country stars of 2018. The list is based on estimated income from June 1, 2017 and June 1, 2018 and looks at touring, endorsements, record sales and other outside ventures.

LITTLE BIG TOWN has set up lemonade stands at their concerts and will donate $1 from every glass sold to children in Africa to help provide food and water.

LADY ANTEBELLUM relies on group therapy and counseling to maintain good communication and a strong relationship. The trio have been utilizing therapy since returning to the road together after the break that saw CHARLES KELLEY and HILLARY SCOTT each record separate projects

LINDSAY ELL says Nashville and the music industry are a grind — and she’s loving it. Ell says, “Life is very unbalanced right now and I am fine with that, because I am getting to do what I love and what I have dreamt of doing. I’m living that life. I am as tired as I dreamed of being…”

LUKE COMBS’ debut album, This One’s For You, has sold one million copies.

LAUREN ALAINA is engaged to longtime boyfriend Alex Hopkins. The couple have been dating since 2012.

LUKE BRYAN is country’s top earner over the past year with $52 million earned. He comes in at No. 45 on the Forbes magazine list of top-earning entertainers, which is topped by boxer Floyd Mayweather. Other country artists to make the cut include KENNY CHESNEY (87) and GARTH BROOKS (59).

LUKE BRYAN will lend his name to a venue in downtown Nashville called 32 Bridge Kitchen + Drink. The building was purchased by an Ohio restaurant group which also owns the buildings for JASON ALDEAN’s Kitchen + Bar and FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s FGL House.

LITTLE BIG TOWN will be the focus of an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum all summer.

LUKE COMBS has three number ones and is now looking to invest in a house in the Nashville area. Luke says he hopes to find a place with several acres so he can do some hunting and have some quiet space on the property.

LUKE COMBS has recorded 20 songs for his sophomore album and plans to record more this fall. Luke hopes to narrow the field of tunes to the best dozen after the first of the year and put out new music sometime in 2019.

LUKE BRYAN says his road crew and band are like an extension of his family. Luke says it takes everyone working together to make his concerts a success and he likes to create a positive vibe of encouragement and good relationships to help make that happen.

LUKE BRYAN’s 10th Annual Farm Tour will begin in Irwin, Ohio, September 27. He’ll visit six farming communities through October 6 awarding scholarships to farming families within each community.

LOCASH’s song Don’t Get Better Than That has been selected by ESPN as the theme for the network’s coverage of NCAA Men’s College Baseball coverage this summer.

LUKE BRYAN’s 5th Annual Crash My Playa is set for January 23-26th, 2019 in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Luke will headline two nights of concerts with special guests.  Tickets are on sale now.

MAREN MORRIS says the best advice she was ever given was to wear underwear at all times.

MAREN MORRIS and husband RYAN HURD have kids in their future. Maren says she’s blocked out a section of 2019 on her calendar.

MAREN MORRIS will perform as part of an all female festival in Riviera Maya, Mexico early next year. The festival will be called the Girls Just Wanna Weekend and will run from January 30-February 3. Others who will perform include the Indigo Girls, Carlile, Patty Griffin and MARGO PRICE.

MIRANDA LAMBERT is bringing her little red wagon to concerts this summer. As part of her Bandwagon Tour with LITTLE BIG TOWN, Miranda is asking fans to fill the little red wagon with dog food, treats and toys for her Mutt Nation foundation.

The guys in MIDLAND say you know you’re doing the right thing when you start from the bottom, have nothing, and are STILL having the time of your life.

MAREN MORRIS has taken notice of all the star-powered bars in Nashville and thinks she should open her own. Maren shared on social media: “There are so many dude artists opening bars downtown. When I’m rich, I’m seriously opening one called My Church. All we’ll serve is wine…”

MAREN MORRIS is at work on her sophomore album and says she hopes to maintain a balance of musical styles while remaining true to her signature sound.

RUSSELL DICKERSON is learning by example when it comes to the music business. Despite a degree from Nashville’s Belmont University, he’s watched friends THOMAS RHETT and FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE to get an idea of how to handle elements of his career, from daily schedules to song writing to performing.

RASCAL FLATTS have partnered with Hostess for the Sweet Country Summer Sweepstakes and will be appearing on select packages of Hostess products.

RUSSELL DICKERSON says the most country thing he’s ever done, he said, “Probably pop a beer bottle open with a shotgun shell.”

RASCAL FLATTS will go with Boise, Idaho as the next location for a Rascal Flatts restaurant. The trio, who recently opened a location in Connecticut, have also requested permits in St. Louis, Orlando, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.

KRYSTAL KEITH is expecting her second child with husband, Andrew Sandubrae. The couple have a daughter, Hensley, born in 2015. The baby will be TOBY KEITH’s fourth grandchild.

THOMAS RHETT’s latest is called Life Changes and he expects to be singing about even more life changes in the next five years or so. Thomas expects to see his family of four grow considerably because his wife, Lauren, wants five kids.

TRAVIS DENNING is 25 years old, and has never had a crappy day job.  Quote, “When I was 16 all the way through high school, my job was playing music . . . that’s how I made money.  My weekends were spent in restaurants, bars, clubs, and my parents would be there, schlepping around my gear for me and helping me out.  [I’m] very fortunate to have folks like that.”

TYLER FARR has partnered with boot brand Durango to be a 2018 Durango Boot Country Music Ambassador. Tyler will release Livin’ Hard — a special five-song EP presented by Durango and available to Durango boot purchasers.

THOMAS RHETT has added a string of fall shows to his Life Changes Tour with special guests BRETT YOUNG and MIDLAND. The shows begin September 13.
